How to measure your ring size at home?

Selection and measurement of ring sizes

Measuring a ring size is actually quite easy. Below we give a few simple tips on how to quickly do it yourself at home. You can find the table of ring sizes here.

Using the Dondella Ring Sizer

You can order a ring sizer from the Dondella e-store for only 2 euros, which makes determining your ring size super simple. To find the size, you just need to put your finger between the ring sizer and then move the roller according to the thickness of your finger. The right size should be strong enough so that the resulting ring does not come off easily, but also loose enough to slide over the knuckle.

Measuring your ring size using Dondella’s printable ring size chart

If you want to quickly measure your ring size, our printable ring sizer is the perfect tool. To do this, you just need to print out the guide (NB! Make sure that the scale is 100% in the print settings, otherwise the proportion will not be correct) and then place a ring over the circles that already belongs to the wearer. Match the inside of the ring with the closest circle, and if the ring is between two circle sizes, choose a larger size.

Our printable guide also includes a ring size chart with exact diameters and their corresponding ring sizes and international ring sizes. NB! Men’s and women’s ring size guides are different! Use Dondella’s guide to measure ring size for women and Leoman’s guide for men. You can find printable instructions here.

More tips for ring sizing:

  1. Using a tape measure and our printable ring size finder, measure the inside of another matching ring.
  2. The ring should fit comfortably on your finger: tight enough that it won’t fall off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle with relative ease.
  3. If the knuckle is larger than the base of the finger, measure both places and choose a size between the two.
  4. Measure your ring size at the end of the day when your fingers are warm. The size of the fingers changes depending on the time of day and the weather, and in fact the fingers are smaller in the early morning and in cold weather. Also, remember that the fingers of your dominant hand are usually larger.
  5. Measure 3-4 times for better accuracy.
